A well momentum of Sangli is the Ganapati Madir. During our freedom struggle, the premises of this temple were used as meeting place. Lokmanya Tilak amd Mahatma Gandhi has held meeting here. The Rajasaheb of Sangli , Appasaheb Patwardhan has built this temple, stated in 1811 and completed in 1844.

Meersaheb Dargah |
This dargah was built about 500 years ago. The dargah is called as Khaja Meersaheb dargah and is known for its secularism as people of all faiths and religions visit this dargah. A music festival is held every year and reformed musicians and singers perform here. |

An ancient temple of Sangmeshwar is found in Haripur at the 'sangam' i.e confluence of Krishna and Warna rivers. The auspicious month of 'Shravan' every Monday thousands of devotees throng the temple. |
Sadguru Dattatreya Mandir Audumber - Krishna Ghat |
The followers of Lord 'Dattatreya' believe that Shri. Narsinha Sarswati' is the fourth incarnation of Lord 'Dattatreya'. He resided in Audumber for a year. The Datta temple was erected here by this devotees.

Chandoli Dam |
Prachitgad was built during times of Ch.Shivaji Maharaj It is on the border of Sangli, Kolhapur and Ratnagiri districts. The Chandoli Dam was built on the river 'Warna'. This dam along with Chandoli Century attracts many people. |
Gopuram of Ganesh Temple |
The famous Ganesh Mandir at tasgaon having magnificient 'Gopuram' , was built by Marathi Senapati Parshurambhau Patwardhan. The 'Gopuram' resembles with those found in the South Indian temples. A unique feature of Lord Ganesh idol is that its trunk faces at right directions. An annual 'Rath Yatra' is held during the ganesh festival. |

This is best known for its Nag-panchami festival. Every year on Nag-panchami day thousands of Nag-devotees take out processions of the king of snaks 'Cobra'. Competitions are held between various Nag-mandals for the best Cobra.

On the borders of the Miraj and Kavathe-Mahankal talukas lies Dandona, which is supposed to be the 'Dandakaranya' mentioned in Ramayana. There is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva on the top of the hill.

An ancient temple of Shri Siddharam is found in Kavathe-Ekand. On the day of 'Dusshera' a fabulous display of fire works is held here. Thousand of peoples throng to the place to witness the magnificent fire works. |
